Banana Ice Cream

This "ice cream" is perfect on a warm, summer day.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Peel and cut the bananas into large pieces and freeze in an airtight bag or container. 
  2. To make the ice cream, blend^ the bananas, LoprofinDrink/Sno-Pro and salt until you achieve a soft-serve texture.  
  3. Serve immediately, or transfer to a container and freeze an additional 30 minutes before scooping out with an ice cream scoop. Flavour the banana ice cream at this stage, if desired (ideas below).  Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
 

Banana Ice Cream Flavours 

Chocolate Banana Ice Cream:Add 2 tbsp cocoa powder.
Mint Chocolate Chip:Add 1 tsp peppermint essence and 2 tbsp cocoa powder.
Very Berry:Add 1 cup of frozen berries and ½ tsp pure vanilla essence.
Pina Colada:Add 1/2 cup frozen pineapple and 20g desiccated coconut.
Vanilla Bean: Add 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste.
